To get there: From downtown Kamloops, take Columbia street up through Sahali and onto Highway 1. Take exit 367 for Pacific Way and follow the signs to Pacific Way South. Turn left onto Pacific Way. Roughly 2.1 km up the hill, turn right onto Links Way. Or get directions from Google Maps here.
The park is currently under construction, so park anywhere along Links Way. The simplest access to the path is where it crosses Troon Way. This is a circular path, so you can go around either way!
This trail is the first addition to the new West Highlands Park in Aberdeen. In time, this park will have soccer fields, community gardens, fishing ponds and more. There are plenty of benches and lovely viewpoints along the way. The path is already well used by adults and children of all ages, including strollers, wheelchairs, bikes and roller blades. This is also becoming a very popular path for dog walkers too. Closer to dawn or dusk, you can expect to see some of the local deer or marmots.
This trail is perfect for an after work or evening stroll and is suitable for everyone. Enjoy the views!
