Trail Name: Perimeter Trail
Distance: 1.5 kms
Time: 25 mins
Difficulty: Easy
Cell Service: Yes
Dogs allowed: yes, on-leash
Trail: Hard packed single track loop through the Kamloops Frisbee Golf course.
Highlight: An interesting loop through desert landscape overlooking the Thompson Valley.
To get there: From downtown, take Victoria Street onto Battle Street and the Valleyview Drive. Turn right onto Rose Hill Road. Continue 2.6km and turn right into the Rose Hill Park parking area. Or get directions from Google Maps here.
The trail winds through the perimeter of the Rose Hill West Disc Golf course. We started the trail just past the tennis courts on the right. Follow the well worn trail through the grasslands. Following the trail can be tough at times as there are many trails leading to different launch pads throughout the park. However, keep to the widest, most well worn trail and you should be fine.
This trail is very dry, hot, desert-like, and features great views of the Thompson Valley. This trail is suitable for the whole family, but please be mindful of the disc golfers and flying discs.
