Valleyview Nature Park

Valleyview Nature Park

Description

A lesser known park in Kamloops, the Valleyview Nature Park offers residents a different kind of park. Unlike Kenna Cartwright Park or Peterson Creek Park, these trails are mostly out in the open, high above on the silt bluffs of Valleyview. The park is right beside the Kamloops Bike Ranch, so be mindful of riders on the trails, and try to stay off biking trails. The Valleyview Nature Park does not have many trails compared to other parks, but they are unique and less visited if you’re looking for somewhere new to explore!

From downtown, head East along the Trans-Canada Hwy. Turn right onto Highland Road. Follow this through the 4 way stop and take the next left towards the Valleyview Arena. You should see the sign for the Valleyview Nature Park on your left. Park here. This is the entrance we’d recommend.

Kamloops Bike Ranch Entrance

From downtown, head East along the Trans-Canada Hwy. Turn right onto Highland Road. Follow this through the 4 way stop but continue heading up Highland Road. Before you reach the top round-about, you should see the parking area for the Kamloops Bike Ranch. Park here. While this is technically an entrance to the park, we don’t recommend starting here as there is only one trail you can access and it is quite difficult. Furthermore, it will be heading downhill, which means you will have to hike back up to your vehicle.
