Trail: Short, steep trail down to one of the most impressive waterfalls in the park!

To get there: This hike is located just north of Clearwater at the south end of Wells Grey Park. Take the Yellowhead Hwy (5) about 120km north from Kamloops. When you arrive at the roundabout in Clearwater, take the 3rd exit to head North on Clearwater Valley Rd. In about 3.8Km, you’ll pass Greer Rd on your right. In about 500 meters, you’ll pass concrete barriers along the sides of the road. You’ll see a small pull out immediately on your left just past these barriers. You’ll also see a large dirty white sign that mentions ‘Woodlot 301’. Park here. Get directions from Google Maps here.
The trail starts at the back end of the small parking area. It’s a fairly easy to follow trail to the falls. In maybe 500m, watch for a small sign on your left, directing you off the main trail to a side trail that will lead you directly to the Triple Decker Falls. There are a few steep sections and downed trees, but nothing that a good pair of shoes can’t handle.
Once you arrive at the falls, take some time to explore around the area. The rocks are most certainly wet and slippery, so be careful! This is a great hike for a hot summer day to enjoy the mist from the falls. These falls are not very well known, certainly not as famous as Helmcken, but they are gorgeous and easy to get to!

19 May 2019Hi Sofi, unfortunately we haven’t completed the whole trail yet. It’s on our list for this year though. You can always reach out the the Wells Gray Visitor Centre for more info on that trail 🙂
