The Dallas-Barnhartvale Nature Park is another lesser known park in our area. It does not have as many trails as Kenna Cartwright Park or Peterson Creek Park, but it is still an excellent park! There are a variety of trails of varying difficulties and there are some fantastic viewpoints above the Dallas area. Another nice thing about this park is that there is also the Blackwell Trails next door that offer even more trails to explore! This park has a picnic shelter, that is a bit of a walk from the parking area as well as a washroom! If you haven’t checked out this area yet, definitely check it out!
Head East along the Trans-Canada Hwy. Take exit 384, the Dallas Dr /Barnhartvale Rd exit. At the roundabout, take the second exit to stay on Dallas Drive. In 500m turn right onto Barnhartvale Rd. Follow this road for about 3.1Km and then turn left on Eliza Rd. (A post partially hides the Eliza Rd sign, so it can be easy to miss.) The parking area is shortly ahead on the right.

One of our favourite trails in the park, this hike is easy enough for the whole family and offers a fantastic view up and down the valley!
This is the official trail app for the City of Kamloops that highlights all the various trails within the park.
